Who is Libby Jewson?


‘Libby has been the Executive Officer at WRISC Family Violence Support in Ballarat for the past 4 years.  During this time she has seen great commitment to address Family Violence in Victoria from the current Andrews government.  Libby’s role at WRISC is to support her staff, volunteers and Board to provide the best service they can for the benefit of every WRISC client. Libby’s passion is collaborative and partnership thinking through every aspect of her work, and she draws on this passion every day in her work at WRISC, and across the broader Central Highlands region’


Elizabeth began in the role of Executive Officer in August 2014 and brings with her a thorough knowledge and expertise in multi sector and multi organisational partnerships and is humbled by the opportunity to work with a team of very dedicated staff and volunteers in the family violence sector in the Ballarat region.


She completed her masters in Exercise Rehabilitation in 2004 and since then has worked as an exercise physiologist, team leader, manager and senior manager in the community health, hospital and primary care partnership setting in the inner west of Melbourne. Elizabeth has published various journal articles and presented at a number of National conferences relating to chronic disease management.


Elizabeth has had a varied professional career starting in education, private business, community health, primary health, organization and systems design and agency partnerships, leadership and management and most recently leadership in the family violence sector.


Libby’s passion is working with others to enable the benefits of the ‘working together’ process to occur be it with teams, agencies within a sector and across sectors.
