Welcome and thank you for supporting Reclaim the Night Ballarat for 2 years in a row!

Who is WHG?

Women’s Health Grampians (WHG) aims to improve women’s equality, health and wellbeing in the Grampians region and beyond.

We work closely with all levels of government, community and business partners to achieve better public policy and services for women, and to address the barriers to achieving gender equality.

Established in 1991, WHG is one of nine regional and three state-wide women’s health services funded by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.

Our priorities include:

  • The prevention of violence against women (PVAW)

  • Improving sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and access

  • Driving cultural change that supports gender equality

Our Work

Women’s Health Grampians (WHG) provides leadership, advice, resources and support to improve public policy and service provision for women in the Grampians region.

We tackle complex issues that impact the lives of many women across our region and beyond, including the prevention of violence against women, access to sexual and reproductive health services, and addressing the barriers to gender equality.

We work with a range of partners including government policy makers, service providers, health and community organisations, and private enterprise to drive lasting change and transform communities.

Central Highlands Integrated Family Violence Committee

WHG is a long standing and committed member of the Central Highlands Integrated Family Violence Committee (CHIFVC) which leads and advocates for a strong family violence system in the region. In March 2017, WHG commenced the auspice role for CHIFVC. CHIFVC’s Principal Strategic Advisor (PSA) and Project Support Officer are based at WHG. Visit the CHIFVC website for more information.
